Here’s a real simple way to do this. The first thing you do is make sure that the page you are going to put this on can use SSI’s. SSI stands for Server Side Includes. On many sites, SSIs may need a page extension of shtml. Some webhosts allow you to run SSIs on html pages if you modify your .htaccess file.

How to Modify Your .htaccess File

If you add this line:

AddHandler server-parsed .html

you should be able to run SSI’s in your html files - as long as your webhost allows it.
